EXHIBITION-STORE

WORK BY SERIES. Below you can see the works for sale grouped into series. With project work (or series), the aim is to fully explore the possibilities of a theme, following specific aesthetic and expressive objectives. Through this way of working, creation is very pleasant, since it is possible to delve into a theme, finding nuances that enrich the whole and enhancing the value of each work.

DIGITAL TECHNIQUE. All works are made with digital technique. In this technique, the lines made with the digital pencil on the graphics tablet are introduced on the screen, appearing on it as graphite and other materials do on paper or canvas.

EXCLUSIVITY AND AUTHENTICITY. Printed digital art has the same consideration as engraving, since the printed images are not copies of a previous original, but rather the materialization of the work itself. As an artist, I prefer to print editions of few copies in order to offer the collector something that is of value to both the collector and the artist: originality and exclusivity.

Missing Rome

Views of the city of Rome, inspired by the time I spent in this city. When I create these images, based on both visual references and on my imagination, I evoke within myself the non-visual sensations that accompany each scene, such as temperature, smells, and sounds. With these landscapes I want to convey the admiration for the suggestive mixture of archaeological remains, ancient buildings and the signs of the modern city. A scene with one or more characters helps to appreciate the proportions of the space and, at the same time, the space becomes an echo of the emotions of the characters represented.

At Night

Night scenes in which the light of the moon or a candle generates chiaroscuro effects, modulating the volumes of a female nude. In some of the compositions of this series an element is included (a piece of clothing, some flowers, a shadow, or a glance from the protagonist) that suggests that there is someone else in the room; in others, the protagonist is absorbed in her thoughts. The intimacy and secrecy of the night suggest both loneliness and the beauty of an encounter. The works in this series are inspired by the opera «Tosca» and the novel «The Prisoner of Zenda».

The Mermaids

Mermaids are the protagonists of this series of drawings. The theme is conducive to depicting the female nude, giving it a context and loading it with meaning. The series is based on the interpretation that was made of these mythological beings at the beginning of the 20th century, when the myth of the mermaid was reinterpreted as a symbol of sensuality and mystery. The theme provides a variety of subtly narrative situations related to a sudden encounter, and sometimes turns the viewer into a witness to the scene.

Madama Butterfly

Series of works inspired by the love scene from Puccini’s opera «Madama Butterfly». The aim of these drawings is to convey the scene’s idyll and beauty. The complexity of the male and female feelings narrated in this opera motivates the choice of combining different plastic treatments within the image, combining wet and dry techniques, monochrome greys with colour accents and the generation of the image on a white background and on a black background.

Floral still lifes

The floral still life is a classic painting theme that is associated with the creation of decorative images in which deep metaphors are often introduced. In this case, the fundamental objective is to convey the joy of flowers through images of plastic beauty. Each image is created by superimposing lines and spots of saturated colours, also reserving prominence to the white paper.
