Sketching in Calpe
In September 2019 I spent a day in Calpe, a highly visited coastal city in the north of Alicante. Its most distinctive and admirable element is the Peñón de Ifach, a rock over 300 meters high that rises on its coast and is practically surrounded by the sea.
It is a place of great beauty, especially at that time of year, when the summer vegetation still shines among the rocks. In my notes I tried to suggest this through various compositions in which I collected views of both the rock itself and what can be seen from it.
